Green Valley City emanates early winter beauty

Green Valley City, a scenic spot in Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province is known as the "lungs of the city", due to its beautiful natural landscapes. The spot boasts a rich history as well.

Green Valley City was once a private garden owned by Chen Baochu, a businessman who lived during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The scenic spot consists of three parts: a garden, an exhibition area, and an activity area. The three sections harmoniously combine history, nature, and culture.

More than 2,000 trees of over 150 different varieties grow throughout the scenic spot, around 20 of which are over 100 years old. Four adults are required to fully encircle the spot's 110-year-old camphor tree.

Green Valley City has also been listed as an education center for popular science in Jiangsu province.
