Hai'an hosts seminar on Qingdun relics
A seminar on Qingdun relics was held in Hai'an, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Nov 16, attracting a number of experts.
The experts visited the Qingdun Relics Museum to discuss the cultural, historical, and artistic value of the relics.
Qingdun relics, which date back to the Neolithic Age, are under national protection and represent a new type of archaeological culture in East China.

Zhou Xueying, a member of the Society for Chinese Archaeology and a professor at Nanjing University, said that the stilt-style architecture of the relics was common at the time and that it resulted from both climate and culture.
Zhu Shunlong, a professor at Fudan University, said that integrating culture and tourism will lead to more culturally-focused tourism and make better use of the relics.
Hai'an has established a museum and a research institute for Qingdun relics, which are expected to help boost the city's economic development.
