A promotional conference promoting cloud services for companies was held in Hai'an, Nantong, in eastern China's Jiangsu province on Sept 19, according to a local media report.

Lu Zhongping, vice-mayor of Hai'an, said at the conference that with the rapid development a raft of news technologies was imperative.

These included information technology, cloud computing, the internet of things, big data and other information industries which had a bright future. Lu also said the development of industrial internet was imperative.

According to Lu, Hai'an planned to make this conference a new starting point, further strengthening cooperation with China Telecom.

Lu said Hai'an would strive to promote major projects -- such as an industrial internet platform, cloud services enterprises, a cloud service system, model enterprises for the industrial internet and an "Internet + Advanced Manufacturing" featured base.

These projects would also provide services to accelerate the innovation development of the advanced manufacturing industry and the transformation and upgrade of the traditional manufacturing industry in Hai'an.

Lu added that he hoped that the entrepreneurs participating in the conference would seize the opportunity to have their companies speed up their utilization of cloud services and jointly promote the high-quality development of Hai'an's industrial internet.
