It was a landmark moment as a 7MW-B910A wind turbine blade came off the production line on Sept 6 at Jiangsu Jiuding New Material Co Ltd – a manufacturer based in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province.

The blade, with a length of 91 meters and weight of 31 tons, is made of glass fiber and carbon fiber and it also represents the longest offshore wind turbine blade ever made in the country.

The manufacturer says the resilient blade can be used in many windy conditions. It gives an excellent aerodynamic performance, has high reliability, a good comprehensive performance, a large sweeping area and additionally has a high utilization rate for wind energy.
