Rugao stamp exhibition celebrates 70th anniversary of PRC

A stamp exhibition in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China opened at the city museum in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 28, attracting a large number of visitors.

The event is hosted by the Rugao publicity department, the Rugao culture, sports, radio, film and tourism bureau, and the Rugao branch of China Post. It will run until Sept 8.

The exhibition is displaying nearly 1,000 stamps belonging to retired seniors in Rugao.

The stamps showcase China's achievements in economy, culture, society, ecology, national defense, and diplomacy over the past seven decades, telling stories of the country's growth and development.
