TCM pharmacists hard at work during Sanfu Days
Pharmacists of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are busy preparing medicinal materials at a community medical service center in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on July 22. China has now entered Zhongfu, the second stretch of Sanfu Days. Sanfu Days in the Chinese lunar calendar refer to the three 10-day periods predicted to be the hottest days of the year. They are referred to as Toufu, Zhongfu, and Mofu. The current period is believed to be a good time for curing some winter illnesses, such as coughs, asthma, and arthritis. [Photo/ntfabu.com]
