Hai'an, Nantong, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, held a symposium on July 9 in Shenzhen, a city in South China's Guangdong province, to promote its development and attract investment.
Over 300 company representatives and local Hai’an officials participated in the event. Yu Lizhong, mayor of Hai'an, introduced the city's strengths and investment environment to attendees.
Hai’an signed 56 projects with enterprises at the symposium involving things like lithium-ion-powered batteries, electronic equipment manufacturing, heat transfer induction devices, auto parts, metal products, and more.
Gu Guobiao, Party chief of Hai’an, said at the symposium that Hai'an needs to further open up and seek cooperation to attract domestic and foreign industries, capital, talent, and other resources.
He said that strengthening cooperation with Shenzhen is not only key to Hai'an's further development, but also a long-term strategy to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of local industries and create new development momentum.
