Updated: 2019-07-11

Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machineries Co, based in Gangzha district, signed a strategic acquisition agreement with Koch Solutions, a German industrial provider of heavy bulk material system solutions, on July 9, formally acquiring its core team and brands.

Huang Weifeng, Party chief of Gangzha district, addressed the signing ceremony, saying that the partnership will help Gangzha adapt to global trends in equipment manufacturing, gain certain advantages, and achieve coordinated development.

He hoped that Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machineries would take the cooperation as an opportunity to encourage other key companies in Gangzha district to carry out multi-level cooperation with Germany in machinery manufacturing and automobile production, while also learning from the experiences of Industry 4.0 in Germany.

As a professional solutions provider for material handling equipment, Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machineries Co has provided equipment and one-stop solutions for a number of ports, shipyards, power plants, and marine engineering projects.

The acquisition increased the company's potential for technological innovation in lightweight and heavy bulk material systems.

In the future, the company will take full advantage of the resources, talent, and industrial strength of its two brands – Genma and Koch – to further enhance the company's competitiveness in international projects along the Belt and Road.

Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machineries Co also released six new products that will help advance the intelligent and eco-friendly development of global bulk handling equipment.
