A company-university-institute business matchmaking meeting between Shanghai and Nantong was held in Gangzha district, Nantong city, on June 25, to further introduce and transfer tech innovation resources of universities and research institutes in Shanghai.

More than 20 professors and experts from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Institute of Technology, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Nantong University as well as over 80 entrepreneurs attended the meeting. 

The event was to establish a communication platform for companies in Gangzha district and universities and research institutes in Shanghai, offer support to the two sides' cooperation, said Wang Jianhua, director of Gangzha district science and technology bureau which organized the meeting. 

The bureau collected some 20 tech requirements form local companies and received 18 pieces of feedback from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Institute of Technology, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Nantong University after communication prior to the meeting. 

Nantong Shanshui Chemical Technology Development Co, Nantong Rainbow Heavy Machineries Co based in the district reached partnerships with University of Shanghai for Science and Technology at the meeting.
