The Jiangsu provincial fire brigade recently decided to promote the use of an electric carrier vehicle invented by the Tianshenggang fire brigade in Gangzha district, Nantong city, across Jiangsu province.
The 1-meter-high and 0.8-meter-wide electric carrier vehicle weighs only 40 kilograms and is easy to carry and operate. Capable of carrying a maximum of 150 kg of rescue equipment, it can roll forward and backward at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour along highway guardrails.
When traffic jams occur as a result of traffic accidents, the electric carrier vehicle will quickly transport rescue equipment to the accident site and ease the burden on firefighters.
This invention has won the national science and technology invention patent and the Jiangsu Provincial Public Security Department Science and Technology Award.
It is being tested by fire brigades throughout Nantong, Yangzhou, and Taizhou cities in Jiangsu province.
