A healthcare lecture was held in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 18.

Zhang Zibiao, a professor at Jilin Medical University, explained the causal links between major nutrients and health, as well as dietary habits and diseases, during the lecture.

He also shared some health management tricks with the audience, which are believed to be effective and practical in daily life.

In recent years, the district government has been making efforts to improve local healthcare services.

A family doctor system has been established in the district, providing services such as medical consultations, treatment, and door-to-door physical examinations.

About 31.3 percent of permanent residents have signed up with family doctors.
