The rapidly expanding district of Chongchuan in the city of Nantong in central Jiangsu province has met with success in attracting a flow of investment from Beijing, with 10 commercial agreements reportedly signed between the district government and Beijing-based companies on March 27.

The approved projects covered various areas, including information technology, culture and tourism, as well as financial services.

Chongchuan, as the downtown area of Nantong, has shown dynamic momentum in the development of its intelligent manufacturing and medical equipment sectors and its corporate headquarters economy, said Liu Hao, director of the district, at a promotions conference in Beijing.

He added that the ongoing construction of a comprehensive transport network in Nantong also offered an excellent opportunity for Chongchuan's growth.

Liu pledged the local government would spare no efforts in creating a favorable business environment, with flexible policies and upgraded services.
