Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, reported a total of 233,792 people traveling through the area during the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 4 to 10, marking a year-on-year increase of 11.5 percent, according to the local authority.

Among them, 155,668 traveled on highways, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8 percent, and 57,907 people chose to take the train.
