A group of foreign students from Nantong College of Science and Technology experienced traditional Chinese textile crafts at the Ailan Dyeing Technology Protection Base, Gangzha district, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on Dec 7.

The group consisted of 16 students from Laos, Thailand and Bangladesh. They learned the dyeing skills from the inheritor of the traditional culture. 

The process of making blue calico in Nantong was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
