The ABC Environmental Protection Service Project was launched in Gangzha district, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province on Dec 3 to celebrate the 33rd International Volunteer Day on Dec 5.

The project was jointly organized by the civilization office, the Youth League committee, the environmental protection bureau and the civil affairs bureau of Gangzha district, with the theme of “a better community”.

The volunteer team consisted of more than 200 people, including students from Nantong Technical Secondary School and Nantong Tibetan Nationality Middle School, as well as community volunteers. 

Activities such as screening movies about environmental protection, publicizing garbage classification, monitoring the water quality of Tongyang and Tonglv canals and cleaning the surrounding areas, and launching new initiatives publicizing environmental protection were part of the project.
