The 30 key industrial projects signed at the opening ceremony include intelligent port logistics, new energy intelligent vehicles, intelligent environmental protection equipment, medical facilities, electric automation, big data industry, health city, intelligent industry and industrial parks, all of which are expected to drive the high quality development of Rugao.

Zhang Zhaojiang, deputy secretary of Nantong municipal Party committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

“As an important part of Nantong, Rugao’s gross regional domestic product broke through 100 billion yuan and its comprehensive strength ranks 24th in the nation’s top 100 outstanding counties,” Zhang said.

The deputy secretary also hopes that Rugao can cooperate with merchants both at home and abroad through the opportunities presented by the “Belt and Road” and the “the Yangtze Economic Belt” in order to attract more big projects to the city.
