The program brought together 15 tech startups from North America, Europe and Central Asia, spanning fields such as artificial intelligence computer vision, green hydrogen, biophotovoltaics and organ-on-a-chip.

The Plug and Play Nantong International Innovation Center opened in June 2025, established through a collaboration between Plug and Play and three local zones, including NETDA. Since its launch, the center has hosted regular overseas roadshows and business matchmaking events, building a pipeline for foreign startups to enter and thrive in Nantong.

Sina Radi, scholar at the University of California, San Diego, and founder of MindWave Therapy, said that his team's technology combines AI, extended reality and wearable neurotechnology to improve emotional regulation and communication.

His team has come to Nantong to collaborate with local partners on advancing technology development. Their technology has supported families in the United States with neurodevelopmental disorders, and is targeting China's healthy aging and neurogaming markets.
