How NETDA produces 100-150 satellites annually
The GalaxySpace Satellite Smart Factory located in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) has been bustling with activity, with several satellites at different stages of production and smart robotic arms operating with unmatched precision.

The factory is the first satellite intelligent manufacturing factory in the Yangtze River Delta region with comprehensive R&D qualifications and has established a complete manufacturing chain for satellites weighing between 100 and 2000 kilograms.
On the highly efficient, human-machine collaborative satellite production line, more than 30 satellites can be produced simultaneously, meaning that an average of two satellites can be produced every five days. The factory maintains an annual production of 100-150 medium-sized satellites, with the development cycle 80 percent shorter than traditional methods.
The factory relies on a digital production scheduling platform, an automated testing system, and several large-scale space environment simulators to achieve precise control throughout the entire process. It also ensures satellite quality through microgravity assembly testing and multiple protective measures.
In addition to integrating AI technology, the factory has implemented energy-saving modifications and intelligent power scheduling to reduce operating costs.
To date, over 20 satellites manufactured in Nantong have been launched and are in stable orbit, with digital manufacturing technologies undergoing multiple iterations.
