NETDA, Shanghai East Hospital boost healthcare collaboration
Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) and Shanghai East Hospital held a signing ceremony for their strategic cooperation agreement in the healthcare sector on Jan 28.
Affiliated to Tongji University, Shanghai East Hospital is a large-scale Grade A tertiary hospital with a century-long history. It boasts leading medical and research capabilities in China and extensive expertise in core fields such as cardiology, oncology, endoscopy, and orthopedics.
Since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement in June 2025, more than 30 chief-level experts from Shanghai East Hospital have regularly provided outpatient services at NETDA, performing more than 130 complex surgeries.
The comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement specifies targeted actions for in-depth collaboration in healthcare, talent development and exchange, research partnerships and academic activities, as well as industrial synergy and innovation. These efforts are designed to accelerate the development of high-quality medical service brands within NETDA and to better serve residents' needs.
In the future, NETDA plans to further integrate with Shanghai's high-quality medical resources, strengthen the region's overall health service capacity, and accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces in the healthcare sector.
