Haimen-based Jiangsu Jinghai Agriculture and Animal Husbandry won the Asian Quality Innovation Award at a symposium in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, from Sept 10 to 12, becoming the first Chinese agricultural enterprise to receive the honor.

The event, the 11th Asia Symposium on Quality Function Deployment and Innovation, brought together quality experts and scholars from China, Japan, the United States and other countries.

Jiangsu Jinghai is a national leader in agricultural industrialization. It is also a base recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for breeding and promoting improved broiler breeds, with 40 years of experience in poultry breeding.

The company has pioneered a multi-story smart breeding model for white-feather broiler breeding stock. It has built or renovated five multi-story farms, with 20 poultry houses covering 113,300 square meters of rearing space. The houses are equipped with intelligent environmental controls, automatic feeding and egg collection, smart weighing, and video surveillance, all managed through a digital platform.

In addition, the company has built a full-lifecycle digital quality control platform that connects its feed mills, farms, and hatcheries. It has set 52 internal quality thresholds that exceed national and industry standards, with automatic alerts triggered when production indicators are abnormal.

Its model has been adopted by 10 major corporate groups, 16 specialized farming companies and more than 300 farms across China, helping 83,000 farmers increase their incomes.
