The carrier, built by the China Merchants Heavy Industry Haimen Base, has an overall length of 298.8 meters, a molded breadth of 48 meters, and a tank capacity of 180,000 cubic meters. It adopts a dual-fuel low-speed propulsion system, offering advantages such as low evaporation rates and strong environmental performance.
It marks a significant achievement in the green and intelligent development of Nantong's shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry, signifying that "Made in Nantong" has entered the core ranks of global large-scale LNG carrier construction.
The carrier was ordered by Denmark's Celsius Group, with its design and construction independently completed by China Merchants Group. Four vessels of the same type are nearing completion and preparing for sea trials at its Haimen base.

Nantong's shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry is a national-level advanced manufacturing cluster, with its shipbuilding industry accounting for one-tenth of the national total and its offshore equipment industry accounting for one-fourth. The cluster comprises 428 enterprises above designated size and has achieved an output value exceeding 220 billion yuan ($32.2 billion).
