A high-tech ship and offshore engineering equipment intelligent assembly base project was signed and settled in the Haimen Economic and Technological Development Zone on March 23. 

The project, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($289.71 million), was financially backed by Jiangsu Haihong Construction Engineering. 

Jiangsu Haihong Construction Engineering invested in the construction of Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industries in Haimen in 2007. The company has established an independent R&D technology system for large-scale offshore dredging equipment in China and has been recognized as a national specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprise. 

With this new investment, the company plans to build new assembly workshops, painting rooms, and comprehensive warehouses. The new project will focus on the production of large, high-end specialized engineering vessels and offshore wind power structures, further promoting the development of the regional high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
