Yuantuojiao Resort in Qidong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, will offer free clams to visitors from July 1 to 31, according to local media reports.

Starting July 1, visitors to the Golden Beach Scenic Area at Yuantuojiao Resort can get 0.5 kilograms of clams for free with a QR code for entry.

In addition, visitors are able to pick 0.5 kilograms of clams for free. Those in excess of the prescribed weight will be charged at 6 yuan ($0.89) per kilogram.

The Gold Beach Scenic Area is located near the Yellow Sea and is abundant in shellfish, especially fresh clams.

Clams, mainly produced in coastal areas, taste delicious and are very nutritious.
