The annual tulip expo is scheduled to be held at Yuantuojiao Resort in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, in late March, local media reported on Feb 20.

A total of 800,000 colorful tulips of different varieties will bloom at Yuantuojiao Resort during the expo, including a unique variety cultivated in the Netherlands.

Preparation work for the tulip expo is now in full swing, and various activities such as a Jianghai culture and art forum, seaside art market and art shows will also be held there.

In addition, the Marriott Hotel next to the tulip sea, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($15.8 million), is expected to open at the end of this year.
