More than 20 journalists from central, provincial, and municipal media visited Qidong in Nantong, Jiangsu province on Oct 21 to learn about the city's high-quality coastal development.

Journalists visited the "2+2" wharf of the Lyusi Port area of Tongzhou Bay, the Guanghui Energy LNG Receiving Station, and the Jianghai Cultural Viewing Avenue at Yuantuojiao Resort.

In recent years, Qidong has bolstered its efforts to integrate with Shanghai, as well as building itself into a window for the integrated development of Jiangsu province and Shanghai, said Cui Xiaoyong, director of Qidong's publicity department.

In 2020, Qidong's regional gross domestic product and general public budget revenue ranked the ninth among counties and county-level cities in the province. Its high-quality development ranked 13th among counties and county-level cities in the province, and its comprehensive strength was rated 27th nationwide.

In addition, managers of the Lyusi Port Economic Development Zone and Yuantuojiao Resort introduced the development of the areas.
