The Golden Beach Scenic Area in Qidong's Yuantuojiao Resort welcomed a record crowd of about 20,000 visitors on Oct 1, which marked the first day of the National Day holiday.

A National Day carnival held at Golden Beach attracted more than 200 visitors who got to enjoy the evening beach scenery around a campfire and watch fireworks.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of performances such as Qidong pingtan, which is an art form combining storytelling and ballad singing in dialect, folk singing by Summer Band, and magic shows.

They also witnessed the launch of a series of cultural and tourism products.

The carnival ended with visitors singing and dancing around the campfire and making wishes as the fireworks were set off.
