Yuantuojiao Resort

Qidong Yuantuojiao Resort is located in the easternmost part of Jiangsu province. It faces the Yellow Sea to the east, Lianxinggang River to the west, the Yangtze River to the south, and national highway Line 336 to the north.
It is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Qidong in Nantong, about a 60-minute drive from downtown Shanghai, and within a three-hour drive from cities like Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou in Jiangsu province.
Its planned area is 45 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 12,000.
Yuantuojiao Resort has three natural villages and Yinxing agricultural area under its jurisdiction.
Located at the intersection of the Yangtze River, the Yellow Sea, and the East China Sea, Yuantuojiao is the first place in the Yangtze River Delta where people can see the sunrise.

Through nearly 10 years of development, Yuantuojiao has built up an area of 60,000 square kilometers, containing one national 3A level tourist area, one provincial wetland park, and four tourist attractions.
In recent years, the tourism industry in Yuantuojiao has developed steadily. The annual number of tourists visiting the resort exceeds 3 million.
The resort has distinctive tourism resources, such as the Golden Beach Scenic Area, which boasts wetlands; the Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area, which boasts a double color beach; the Evergrande tourist town, which was designed with the theme of Venice on the sea; the five-country hot spring town; as well as Fisherman's Wharf, which boasts a variety of delicious food and leisure activity options.
Reopened on July 1 after being upgraded and restored, the Golden Beach Scenic Area attracts tourists with various activities like beach combing, clam digging, bird-watching, ATV riding, and boating. [Photo provided to en.nantong.gov.cn]
Famed for its abundant natural resources and harmonious environment, Yuantuojiao was nominated in July 2021 as a national "beautiful bay" by the provincial government.
