Bihai Yinsha to be upgraded as national 4A-level tourist attraction in 2021

Nantong – a prefecture-level city in East China's Jiangsu province – is to get a boost to its tourism sector, according to local officials.
The said the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently released the list of the places and facilities that are up to standard to be upgraded as national 4A-level tourist attractions in 2021, after recommendations and an expert review.
Two of them are from Nantong: the Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area in Qidong and the Hai'an Museum in the county-level city of Hai'an.
The Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Yuantuojiao Resort in Qidong – a county level city administered by Nantong – and in the outer area of Evergrande Venice, a luxury real estate development that overlooks the Yellow Sea. An 8.2-square-kilometer dam has been built there, making its water clean through natural sedimentation.
Taking advantage of kilometers of natural coastline, the Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area forms an artificial beach with clear water and soft sand.
A seaside swimming pool, sightseeing decks, waterfront leisure and other recreational facilities were built in the scenic area to create a scenic sports and beach entertainment facility.
Open to the public in August 2015, it has since become a popular and large artificial seaside tourist resort in the Yangtze River Delta region and receives over one million tourists annually.
