By combining culture, sightseeing, and consumption, Nantong in Jiangsu province is making its nighttime offerings more accessible and vibrant, fueling economic growth and creating a unique urban experience.
The Canal Market has transformed from a small car trunk market into a major hub of the night economy, now spanning 400 square meters with 30 stalls. The market's success is driven by policies like a rent-free first year and sharing on social media.

The historic Bachangjiu Street has also been revitalized into a trendy nightspot. Once a bustling landmark with grain stores and cinemas, it now features 110 merchants offering a diverse array of foods and crafts. With over 10,000 visitors on weekdays and 20,000 on weekends, it combines late-night dining with modern consumption, preserving its industrial heritage while infusing it with new vitality.
The Binjiang Greenway, a 2.3-kilometer riverside path, is another highlight. Illuminated by streetlights and bioluminescent jellyfish lamps, it offers an immersive night tour experience. Activities like camping, cycling, and photography are popular, with residents enjoying the night view and vibrant atmosphere.
