Yangkou Port in Rudong facilitates smooth departure of vessels
A long blast from the horn of the Singapore-flagged Orient Port vessel marked the completion of its sea trial and smooth departure from Yangkou Port. This marks the seventh newly built ship to be exported via Yangkou Port since the beginning of 2025. The total export value of these vessels has now exceeded 2.3 billion yuan ($319.33 million).
Since late last year, Yangkou Port has become an increasingly attractive launch point for major shipbuilding enterprises, thanks to its strategic location and favorable policies. This year has seen a steady stream of new ship export orders.
The Rudong border inspection station established a dedicated task force for new ship exports to support this growth. The team proactively visits shipping agents, shipowners, and terminal service providers, offering tailored measures to ensure smooth outbound clearance.
The station is committed to enhancing the efficiency of processes associated with sea trials, maintenance, and formalities, with the objective of addressing the specific requirements of ship exports. By enhancing efficiency and convenience, Rudong aims to attract more shipbuilders to use Yangkou Port as their maritime gateway, strengthening its reputation as a comprehensive and high-capacity port.
