Turkish delegation visits Rudong to advance green polyester project

On Dec 25, Chen Huiyu, Party secretary of Rudong county, Nantong, met with the procurement director of Turkish company Koksan and his delegation to discuss their collaboration on a major green polyester project.
Chen welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the strategic importance of Yangkou Port in driving Rudong's marine economy and high-quality development. He expressed confidence in the project's success and encouraged the group to maintain their commitment to investing and developing in Rudong. He assured that the county would provide tailored, high-quality services to ensure rapid approval, construction, and production for the project.
The procurement manager thanked Rudong for its support and hospitality, noting Yangkou Port's unique geographical advantages and abundant industrial resources. He expressed optimism about the company's prospects in Rudong and pledged to accelerate the project's construction. He also emphasized Koksan's role in fostering ties between Turkish and Chinese businesses, saying that it will encourage more Turkish enterprises to invest in Rudong and strengthen bilateral economic exchanges.
Koksan, a leading polyester materials producer in Turkiye and the Middle East, is investing $710 million in the project at Yangkou Port. Set to begin construction early next year, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 2.2 million metric tons. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate annual sales of approximately $2.1 billion and contribute $52 million in taxes.
