In recent years, the Rudong science and technology bureau has been committed to supporting enterprises with practical solutions, resolving challenges, and enhancing high-quality development through targeted services. This dedication has put Rudong at 20th among China's Top 100 Counties for Technological Innovation for the first time this year.
Nantong Changed New Materials (or Changed), a high-tech enterprise specializing in large-scale liquid crystal display technology, shifted its focus to perovskite quantum dot research after successfully industrializing its existing technologies. The goal was to leverage perovskite's superior optical properties and cost efficiency to replace traditional, expensive materials. However, the company faced difficulties due to limited expertise and a lack of experienced researchers in this emerging field.
Recognizing these challenges during enterprise visits, the county's science and technology bureau identified and documented the company's technical needs. Utilizing its extensive resources and connections with academic institutions, the bureau facilitated partnerships between Changed and Professor Deng Zhengtao's team from Nanjing University.
Following this success, the bureau has maintained close engagement with Changed, providing guidance on innovation policies, technology project applications, and funding opportunities, further stimulating the company's innovation drive.
This year, Changed has achieved remarkable economic and technological advancements, solidifying its status as a leading unicorn enterprise. The case highlights Rudong's effective enterprise-centric approach to fostering innovation and driving high-quality industrial growth.
