As cold fronts continue to roll in, the PetroChina Jiangsu LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Terminal, located on Sunshine Island in Yangkou Port, Rudong, has now fully entered high-load production mode.

The terminal, which plays a crucial role in natural gas peak shaving across the Yangtze River Delta region, is tasked with ensuring a steady and uninterrupted supply of natural gas. To maintain safe and stable production during high-output periods, the terminal's operations team conducts inspections every two hours.

"The biggest concern during the winter supply season is the weather and sea conditions, which may prevent LNG vessels from entering the port as scheduled," said Qi Ji, deputy manager of the production and operations center.

"We've made early preparations, establishing special teams to focus on operational management, production support, and emergency responses. Since the heating season began in November, we've worked hard to improve efficiency and ensure the timely unloading of each LNG shipment. Our quick response time allows us to inject an additional 10 million cubic meters of gas in just one hour, ensuring a smooth and stable gas supply for the public."

The terminal currently houses six LNG storage tanks, with a total capacity of 1.08 million cubic meters. When fully stocked, the terminal can store 670 million cubic meters of natural gas, enough to meet Jiangsu province's needs for five to seven days.
