According to the latest data from Rudong Customs, the foreign trade throughput of Yangkou Port reached 4.76 million metric tons from January to August 2024, marking a 26 percent year-on-year increase.
Yangkou Port is a key port along Jiangsu's coastal economic belt and has developed three functional terminals: LNG, liquid cargo, and general cargo, with a total of eight open berths. It has established navigation links with 26 countries and regions, further expanding its global connectivity.
To ensure smooth customs clearance for vessels docking at the port, Rudong Customs proactively coordinates with port agencies to track berthing schedules and monitor vessel movements. It has developed tailored emergency clearance plans, providing integrated services such as on-board quarantine, quality inspection, and verification.
Rudong Customs has been actively addressing the need for new berths. Through initiatives like explaining policies directly at companies and offering operational guidance, the port has helped resident companies to receive imported raw materials directly at the port, boosting their competitiveness and enhancing the port's operational efficiency.
