Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province hosted a meeting on Dec 22 to review the accomplishments of 2023, as well as to strategize for the upcoming year and beyond.

Shao Feng, a member of the standing committee of the CPC Rudong committee, highlighted achievements in various areas.

Looking ahead to 2024, Shao outlined key priorities, emphasizing the incorporation of management practices from neighboring industrial parks. The objective is to establish an "intelligent park" and construct an eco-friendly, low-carbon operational system.

He added that the focus will remain on strengthening technological innovation, energy-efficiency, digitalization, and fostering collaboration between industry, academia, and research.

In alignment with existing industrial foundations, Yangkou Port also plans to cultivate industrial chains around new energy, new materials, and new equipment and attract high-value-added enterprises to set up operations in the region.

Furthermore, continuous efforts will be directed towards advancing projects such as the W1# Berth, the GCL Xiexin LNG terminal, staff apartments, the Pullman five-star hotel, and a commercial complex.
