In the face of the most potent cold wave this year in the coastal regions of Jiangsu, PetroChina's Jiangsu LNG terminal in Yangkou Port, Rudong, Nantong has been efficiently unloading each liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship since November, ensuring a smooth and secure gas output. With a total of 11 LNG vessels unloaded, the terminal has exported over 1.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

Equipped with six LNG storage tanks with a total capacity of 1.08 million cubic meters, the terminal, can store up to 670 million cubic meters of natural gas, meeting a week's gas demand for Jiangsu province.

Responding to the current cold wave, the terminal has maintained a daily export level exceeding 30 million cubic meters to address the heightened demand for natural gas in the region. To ensure the stable operation of equipment during this period, the frequency of employee inspections has doubled.

Ma Kai, director of production and operations of PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Co Ltd, noted that the terminal can swiftly adjust output levels from 20 million to 36 million cubic meters within just 90 minutes.

Anticipating the arrival of four more LNG ships by the end of the month, the terminal aims to maintain high-frequency ship receptions, elevated storage levels, and increased export capacity.

Since its inception in 2011, the terminal has dispatched over 37 billion cubic meters of LNG, solidifying its position as a crucial player in ensuring energy supply in East China.
