On May 30, the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong, Nantong, Jiangsu province, held a signing ceremony with four companies for projects worth a total of almost 10 billion yuan ($1.41 billion).

One of the four companies, Xingi Technology Co Ltd, invested one billion yuan in the production of polyethylene fiber. After achieving full production capacity, it is estimated that the factory will produce 20,000 metric tons of fiber per year and achieve annual sales revenue of 1.2 billion yuan.

Guohua (Rudong) New Energy Co Ltd invested 5.2 billion yuan in a photovoltaics and hydrogen production base. Once fully operational, it is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 520 million yuan.

Shanghai Jinding Minerals Co Ltd and Zhejiang LanDe Energy Technology Development Co Ltd were the other two companies that signed contracts with Yangkou Port. It is expected that they will achieve annual sales revenues of 2.2 billion yuan and 7 billion yuan respectively.

Jinding has a total investment of 1.25 billion yuan and mainly produces graphite-coated negative electrode material, with heat transfer fluids as by-products.

LanDe invests about 2.37 billion yuan and can achieve an annual production of 100,000 tons of ionic liquid.

Chen Huiyu, Party secretary of Rudong, urged the development zone to provide efficient services to help companies address problems regarding land use, energy consumption, and human resources during the conference.
