The LNG tanker Mekaines docked at the PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal at Yangkou Port in Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Jan 29, local media reported.
Official statistics show that Mekaines is the first LNG tanker to dock at the port in the Year of the Rabbit.
LNG is a type of low-carbon energy that will play an important role in energy structural transformation.
The 253,100 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carried by the tanker can meet the daily gas consumption needs of 300 million households.
