Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, met with Japan's Ambassador to China Kenji Kanasugi on May 25, discussing enhancing friendship and deepening practical cooperation.

Wu said that the exchanges between Nantong and Japan have a long history, and their traditional friendship is consolidated. Many Japanese companies have operated in Nantong, participating in and witnessing the city's reform, opening-up, and progress. Currently, Nantong is expanding high-level opening-up to the world, aiming to create an ideal, safe, and promising investment destination for foreign investors.

Nantong is committed to collaborating with relevant parties in Japan to strengthen industrial innovation cooperation and people-to-people cultural exchanges, deepening friendly exchanges between the two regions, he noted.

Wu hopes the ambassador will continue supporting Nantong, promoting more companies and projects to choose Nantong. He promised that Nantong would continue to create a superior business environment, helping Japanese companies and individuals achieve better development in the city.

Kanasugi expressed optimism about the development prospects of Nantong and pledged to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation with Nantong in industry, culture, healthcare, and elderly care.
