Nantong Reshine New Material Co, located in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), has been pushing innovative and green development in recent years.

Reshine is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of lithium-ion battery cathode materials. Its products are primarily used in power batteries, energy storage batteries, and consumer batteries.

To develop safer cathode materials with longer endurance mileage and lower cost is Reshine's endless pursuit, according to Zhang Xinlong, general manager of the company. He believes that technological breakthrough is key to developing new quality productive forces.

Reshine has employed about 300 researchers and cooperated with Zhongnan University and Zhejiang University. Its investment in R&D accounts for 5 percent of the sales volume per year, Zhang noted.

As the first Chinese cathode material supplier to achieve mass production of medium nickel high voltage cathode materials, Reshine has developed products with low costs and high-energy density, a benchmarking product of ternary cathode materials.

Zhang also believes that new quality productive forces are green productive forces. Reshine has actively responded to the country's dual carbon goals of peaking carbon emissions by 2030 and reaching carbon neutrality by 2060 by investing in photovoltaic power generation projects and utilizing residual heat and pressure as well as clean energy.
