Jiangsu Sanzer New Materials Technology Co in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA, has been bolstering its core competitive power through research.
Founded in 2014, Sanzer is dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and marketing high-performance silicon carbide ceramics. It secured official recognition as a "little giant" company in Jiangsu in 2021.
"Little giants" refer to novel and elite small and medium-sized enterprises that specialize in a niche market, boast cutting-edge technologies, and show great potential.
Regarding new quality productive forces, Sanzer President Yan Yongjie explained, "New materials make up new equipment, while new equipment breeds new crafts, which lead to the creation of new products."
Both materials and equipment start from research. Sanzer has employed over 70 researchers, including Yan himself, who graduated from Shanghai Institute of Silicate, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and received over 50 invention patents. It has also cooperated with universities such as Zhengzhou University and established regional R&D centers in other cities to reinforce its scientific prowess.
Yan believes that new materials are not only new quality productive forces themselves, but also help foster such productive forces. He and his team have thus built Sanzer's core competitive power around the development of materials, equipment, crafts, and applications.
He added that the company will continue developing new products in the field of silicon carbide ceramics and expand its presence, aiming to win the title of national "little giant" company.
