The Nanjing University Technology Transfer Conference was held in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area in East China's Jiangsu province on July 12.
As part of the 2023 Nantong Venture Week event, the conference was aimed at strengthening cooperation between local government and universities and injecting new vitality into the area’s high-quality development.
More than 100 representatives from investment agencies and experts across the country attended the conference.
Ma Yuqiang, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that researchers need to work closely with enterprises in order to bridge the gap between technological strength and industries, and Nanjing University will provide support to NETDA in terms of scientific and technological innovations, nurturing talents and upgrading industries.
NETDA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Nantong Institute of Material Engineering, NJU during the event, and at the same time 16 enterprises in the area signed cooperation agreements with the institute.
The agreements will be key to promoting scientific and technological innovations and attracting more high-caliber talents to the area, said local authorities.
