The Honggang Riverside Ecological Landscape Belt in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), in East China's Jiangsu province, was included in the city's most beautiful scenic routes, the Nantong bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism announced on April 25.
Twelve ecological landscape belts in the city received the same honor.
The Honggang belt features ecological sightseeing venues such as the Honggang Wetland Park and Shiwai Taoyuan ecological farm, a national 5A rural tourism village, as well as lanes for driving, cycling and walking.
This is the result of NETDA authorities ramping up sustainability efforts to improve the environment and strengthen the protection of ecological resources along the Yangtze River.
Authorities said they will further tap the area's natural resources to attract more projects aimed at developing new cultural and tourism products and bolstering the area's high-quality development.
