NETDA signs strategic cooperation agreement with college, enterprise

The government of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Nantong Vocational College of Science and Technology, and Devro (Nantong) Technology Co Ltd on March 22. 

Jiang Yumin, head of the organization department of the area's Party committee, Wang Feng, deputy Party chief of the Nantong Vocational College of Science and Technology, and Anton Zawada, human resources director of Devro Group, attended the signing ceremony. 

Jiang noted at the ceremony that establishing cooperation between government, colleges and enterprises will be key to driving the area's high-quality development. 

Wang said that the cooperation agreement is crucial to increasing the employment of graduates and maintaining local economic growth. 

He added that the Nantong Vocational College of Science and Technology provides skilled talents related to fields including food and drug, environmental protection, intelligent equipment, and electronic information. 

Zawada said that Devro has been making efforts to practice its corporate social responsibility and that its Nantong facility will carry out cooperation with the Nantong Vocational College of Science and Technology to align industry needs with teaching practices. 

Zawada added that his company will also provide more internships and jobs to local graduates.
