Authorities of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province have been making efforts to speed up the construction of major projects in its comprehensive bonded zone.
For example, authorities have been dispatching staff to construction sites every day to help enterprises deal with difficulties.
Nantong Egens Biotechnology Co Ltd, which is building a 520-million-yuan ($75.65 million) facility for the research and development of point-of-care testing (POCT) kits, is one of the beneficiaries of these efforts.
The facility, which is expected to generate annual sales of more than 500 million yuan, will be completed ahead of schedule thanks to the help provided by the authorities, according to a representative of Egens Biotechnology.
Meanwhile, a 2-billion-yuan cold chain logistics facility funded by China CO-OP Group is expected to be put into operation in October because of these efforts. The factory will generate an annual operating revenue of 10 billion yuan.
These major projects will play a significant role in advancing the area's high-quality development, said local authorities.
