NETDA holds investment promotion conference

Authorities of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province held an investment promotion conference on Feb 28. 

Twenty projects that are related to fields such as biomedicine, intelligent equipment and new-generation information technology were secured at the conference. 

Among them is a semi-conductor project funded by Shanghai Qingyun Semiconductor Material Co Ltd, which had established a presence in the area last year. 

The decision to launch the project in NETDA was largely due to its business environment and innovation atmosphere, said Chen Boyi, the president of Qingyun Semiconductor. 

Authorities have rolled out new innovation policies aimed at attracting more high-caliber talents and high-quality projects. 

Fourteen professional talents from the area were recognized provincially, 74 projects were designated as high-tech ones, and 98 companies were rated as high-tech enterprises in 2022. 

NETDA is currently home to three national research and development enterprises, five national innovation platforms and 116 provincial research and development companies.
