NETDA takes steps to attract local graduates

Authorities in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province held a promotional event for local college students on Feb 7. 

About 30 local college students were invited to learn more about the area's development achievements by watching videos at NETDA's showroom. 

The students were also invited to visit the area's three major enterprises - Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Material Co Ltd, Goon (Nantong) Daily Supplies Co Ltd, and Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co Ltd. 

They also visited the three companies' workshops, learned about their histories, experienced their enterprise culture, as well as had exchanges with company representatives about position requirements, salaries, benefits, and professional development. 

A representative of Goon said that his company provides jobs to graduates with arts and science backgrounds, welcoming the students to join the company. 

A student representative said that the activity helped him have a better understanding of his hometown's industries and prospects, adding that he is willing to return to his hometown to work or start his own business after graduation.
