The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province held a road show on Sept 7 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, to attract more high-caliber talents to the area.

The road show was also aimed at establishing platforms to advance exchanges between government departments, enterprises and universities.

Jiang Yumin, head of the organization department of the area's CPC committee, said the road show would greatly promote cooperation between Nantong city and Xi'an city, which will supply talents with professional knowledge, industry insights, entrepreneurship and innovation capabilities to NETDA.

Cao Yonghong, head of the area's human resources bureau, noted that NETDA has in recent years been stepping up efforts to create a more conducive environment to promote technology innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the event, major NETDA-based enterprises such as Zhongtian Technology Group and Jiangsu Yingjie Optical Cable Technology Co Ltd engaged with top talents from universities including Xi'an Jiaotong University and the Northwestern Polytechnical University.

Twenty-three projects related to industries such as high-end equipment, new-generation electronic information, aerospace industry and integrated circuits, were showcased during the road show.

More than 120 projects have been showcased in NETDA's road shows this year, and 40 of them are set to be based in the area.
