NETDA unveils departure lounge of Nantong airport

A departure lounge of the Nantong airport in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province was inaugurated on June 28.
The departure lounge will assume some functions of the Nantong airport terminal such as providing services related to booking of tickets, check-in, priority access, pick-up and drop-off and real-time flight information.
The departure lounge's establishment is a major step in improving the area's business environment, according to authorities.
On the same day, authorities held a ceremony during which 24 projects with a total investment of 16.74 billion yuan ($2.5 billion) were signed. Five of them are projects with more than 1 billion yuan in investment, nine are projects with a foreign capital of over $30 million, three are projects with more than $100 million, and 10 are related to scientific innovation.
Bao Delin, deputy Party secretary and director of the administrative committee of NETDA, said that 47 projects with a total investment of 24.95 billion yuan were signed in the second quarter of this year. Twenty-two of these projects have received more than 500 million yuan or $30 million investment each. All 47 projects are related to the area's four strategic industries - new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, biomedicine and new energy.
