High-end equipment industry alliance established in NETDA

A high-end equipment industry alliance was set up in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) in East China's Jiangsu province on June 27.
The high-end equipment industry is mainly related to shipping, marine and engineering services, intelligent equipment, precision machinery and intelligent robots.
NETDA will leverage the alliance to deepen cooperation among upstream and downstream enterprises.
Wang Xiaohong, deputy director of the administrative committee of NETDA, said that the alliance aims to build a platform to promote cooperation between local government and enterprises and boost the development of the industry chain.
He added that the area will also make efforts to provide better services to encourage companies to pursue innovation.
The area is presently home to several notable high-end equipment enterprises, including Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industry Co Ltd, Jiangsu Cowain Automation Technology Co Ltd and Hirschmann (Nantong) Automotive Co Ltd, which are expected to have a combined sales revenue of 50 billion yuan ($7.48 billion) by the end of this year.
